Today is not as bad as yesterday...a bit, only a bit, warmer and no SNOW...yet. Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be better, so I'll be back on the bike. Next week, the weather predictions are good, except for next Saturday when the Tour of the Gila criterium is scheduled. 60% chance of rain is predicted for that Saturday. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather prediction will be better as it gets closer to Saturday.
I have two new Schwalbe marathon tires being sent to me from Alfred E Bike. One is to replace the one that I shredded last week. The second one is for a spare. Still haven't figured out what happened with the rear tire last week, but it is toast. Three holes in the sidewall from not being able to stop before the rim tore it apart...???
Until the tires arrive, I'll be riding my Vitus...another vintage bicycle...1986 or 1985....not sure when I bought it, but it was one of those years. All upgraded with new Shimano Ultegra components and new Ultegra wheels and the groupo feels great on the bike. Compared to my touring bicycle, it feels like a Porsche.
Trying my hand at making pizza today. Hope it turns out well. I miss good pizza...none to be found in Silver City....that's any good, that is.
Here's a bit of country music from an original cowboy, not the Hollywood created "cowboy"....George Strait...one of my favs: Amarillo By Morning....hope you enjoy it as much as I like to dance to it.
