Cycling Along The Way...

Riders of the wheel. Racers, Roadies, Mountain bikers, Touring cyclists, Commuters, and others. Diamond frames, recumbents, trikes, and more. Sharing a web of connections often misunderstood or unappreciated by those who don't ride. Herewith, my attempt to share some of the more rational thoughts that flit around inside my head while bicycling, knocking back a brew or three, or just thinking about life. Reviews of bicycles, gear, touring, and more, plus some unsolicited posts about people, politics, and philosophy. Other things, too. Me: retired, gave up my TV in 1988, avid cyclist, several cross country tours completed with more to come. Your thoughts?

While in Clinton, MO, I went to a local restaurant that sold espresso drinks.  Despite my record of having poor to no luck in obtaining a good espresso drink, I still try.  Well, in this shop, the guy used FLAVORED coffee to make the double espresso.  No, I didn't try to correct him.  Seeing that he was this FAR off from making espresso, I realized that it would take a crash course of several days to provide the needed instructions and the actual making of espressos to improve on what was, without a doubt, the WORST espresso ever.  Here in Springfield, IL, the coffee shops are better at preparing espresso.  I still miss my favorite, Three Dogs, in Silver City.  Hi, Ron and Rhea!!!

Working on my new route...more later...
