Cycling Along The Way...

Riders of the wheel. Racers, Roadies, Mountain bikers, Touring cyclists, Commuters, and others. Diamond frames, recumbents, trikes, and more. Sharing a web of connections often misunderstood or unappreciated by those who don't ride. Herewith, my attempt to share some of the more rational thoughts that flit around inside my head while bicycling, knocking back a brew or three, or just thinking about life. Reviews of bicycles, gear, touring, and more, plus some unsolicited posts about people, politics, and philosophy. Other things, too. Me: retired, gave up my TV in 1988, avid cyclist, several cross country tours completed with more to come. Your thoughts?

Feeling guilty but will get over it and out of town soon...

Don't tell Eileen, but this is my 3rd time on the library PC today.  It's so large and the staff at the ref desk changes frequently enough that I've been able to get passes for the PC.  I'll be out of town tomorrow, so I won't feel guilty too long...

Bloomington has been a good change for me.  Good food, good beer, good library, good stores, nice scenery...it is a college town after all....and the rain isn't supposed to happen until tonight.  Tomorrow, I head north to Greenfield, IN, which is just East of Indianapolis.  Should be a decent ride...about 80 miles.  From there, I head East, a good direction...just hope the wind is blowing out of the SSW like it is supposed to....on Rt. 40, the old national highway all the way to Washington, PA, then head north to Youngstown, then pick up Rt. 30.

Time is almost up on the PC...I won't come back again today.  Time for another beer, then pick up some gatorade for tomorrow...and get to sleep early so I can be on the road early.  Hoping Hurrican Earl will head up the coast quickly and I can squeeze in between tropical storms/hurricanes ... and get to Glens Falls w/out getting too wet.

Later....
