Well, today, Eileen and I decided to hike McComas peak, which is not far from our house. En route up the mountain, Eileen is ahead of me and, near the top, she turns to tell me that she spotted a black bear cub, which just took off after spotting her. My immediate comment, "Time to go..." and we promptly turned around and began walking back down the trail. Wasn't sure where momma bear was, but I knew she would not be far from the cub and I didn't want us getting in between the cub and momma bear. That would mean the possible postponement of my bicycle riding and more!! Yikes!
Gorgeous day today. Tomorrow, supposed to be just like it. In the morning, I'm getting up early and will ride to Lordsburg and back...84+ miles, with a long 15 mile climb coming back from Lordsburg. Good training ride for me.
I was playing with my new Samsung HMX_u20 digital camcorder today. Here's a short clip that I did after Eileen encountered the bear cub. No picture of the bear cub... wasn't going to go photograph it. But it's a decent clip of the surrounding area from the peak of McComas Mountain.
